I’ve been really spoiled yesterday!
I received those two high finish custom made jewelery woden boxes to house my hand made bracelets. Each one in its own space, they definitively look much better than all piled up in a shoe box as they were so far. You will find some of those in my Etsy boutique.
Each box can stand on its own or be hung on a wall. Thank you!!!
J’ai été très gâtée hier avec ces deux boites en bois faites sur mesure, pour les bracelets que j’ai créés! Ils sont beaucoup plus jolis comme ça que tous empilés dans une boite à chaussures! Certains bracelets sont dans ma boutique Etsy.

A pair of earrings on the program this afternoon.
As often I did the first one pretty quickly, and it took me ages to manage to do a second one alike!
I’ve used blue and lime craft wire and a turquoise & gold Majorc bead. The fishhooks are .925 Sterling Silver, gold plated.
Au programme cet après midi: boucles d’oreilles.
La première s’est faite presque toute seule, mais la seconde m’a donné du fil à retordre. J’ai du m’y reprendre à 4 fois avant d’arriver à terminer la paire!
J’ai combiné des fils métalliques bleu et anis, et ajouté une perle de Majorque turquoise et or. Les boucles sont en argent 925 plaqué or.
Neckace with pendant … Collier et Pendentif

Last time Anne came home, she did a bright yellow and orange bracelet. So for her birthday she is getting …. a matching necklace indeed!
For the pendant, I did the base in flat Peyotte- Then, a fringe with matching smaller beads on one side, and loops on the opposite side to pass the silk ribbon of the neckacle.
The necklace it self is made with a double silk ribbon and a strand of beads. There is no clasp but two knots: a square knot to close the loop, and a button knot on the other side.
Un jour que Anne était à la maison, elle a fait un joli bracelet jaune et orange. Alors pour son anniversaire je lui ai fait … un collier assorti!
Point Peyotte pour le pendentif auquel j’ai ajouté une frange en petites perles assorties d’un coté, et des boucles de l’autre pour y passer le ruban de soie.
Pour le collier j’ai utilisé un ruban de soie en double et un rang de perles. Il n’y a pas de fermoir mais deux noeuds: un noeud plat pour fermer la boucle, et un noeud boule pour le bouton.

Rocailles Bracelet #2

800 Bohemian Rocailles patiently woven one by one for this bracelet.
Outside the bracelet itself, I’m also pretty happy with my ‘button’ and buttonhole, smoothly integrated in the whole work.
800 de Rocailles patiemment tissées l’une après l’autre pour ce bracelet.
Outre le bracelet lui-même, j’aime aussi le ‘bouton’ et sa ‘boutonnière’ réalises avec les mêmes petites perles, plutôt qu’avec un fermoir en métal comme on en voit souvent.

This week end my daugther had a b’day party of a friend turning 11. She had asked me a bracalet with purple to offert to her friend.
So here we go.
Ce week-end ma fille etait invitée à l’anniversaire d’une amie qui a 11 ans. Elle m’avait commandé un bracelet avec du violet pour offrir à son amie.
Alors voila:

Apres avoir tissé près de 700 perles …
But I was not there yet; I needed to wrap the present, so I did a box with whitecardboard and nested my bracelet in it, on a warm fushia paper.
Le bracelet est terminé, mais ce n’est pas tout! Il faut l’emballer. Alors j’ai fait une boite avec du carton blanc et y ai rangé le bracelet sur une feuille de papier de soie fushia.
And I close it with a soft pink sattin ruban.

Et j’ai fermé la boite avec un ruban de satin rose tendre.

Yoyo Bead Necklace

This necklace is as easy as a Yoyo!
You will need:
- Small pieces of fabric, preferably stretch – In this case I did 20 Yoyo beads with the patterned black & white fabric, and 1 in red ;
- Rocailles / seed beads
- 2 medium black round beads with the hole large enough to house the closing knot of the cord.
- 2 black sequences
- Thin necklace cord
- Filling fiber
If you do not have a Yoyo maker, I would recommend you get one because it does not cost much, but does help A LOT !
For each Yoyo bead, cut a circle of fabric twice as large in diameter than the intended Yoyo bead adding a small seam allowance.
Turn the seam allowance inside and sew even stitches next to the fold. The larger the stitches are, the smaller the center opening of the Yoyo bead will be. Start to gather, as you go along fill in with fiber and close it tightly.
Once all your Yoyo beads are ready, string them on the cord.
To string a Yoyo bead, enter your needle in the center of the opening (yep, it’s tightly closed but still you will be able to get the needle through) and exit opposite gently.
Start with a black round bead, and follow with a sequence, the red Yoyo bead, a sequence, the second round black bead, 8 Rocailles, a black & white Yoyo bead, 8 Rocailles, … finish with 8 Rocailles.
Close the cord and hide the knot into the round black bead. Secure it with a drop of glue.
Wear it and wait for comments!
