Paper beads … Perles de papier

img_1487blog1. Take a couple of pages with nice colour pattern,

2. Cut isocele triangles (2 sides of the same length),

3. Apply white glue on a piece of paper and roll it tight on a platic stick,

4. Leave few days to dry,

5. Add enhancements -colour, metal leaf,… as you feel like,

6. Drill small holes on each side of the beads – if you have problem placing all the holes at the same distance on the beads, convo me for a tip,

7. Apply 2 or 3 layers of varnish and leave to dry between each layer,

8. Mount on elactic cord adding spacer beads between each paper bead,

Bravo, you’ve made a stunning bracelet!

img_1519blog1. Choississez quelques pages de magasine avec une palette de couleur intéressante,

2. Coupez des triangles isocèles (2 cotés égaux),

3. Appliquez de la colle blanche et roulez serré sur un support en plastique,

4. Laissez sécher quelques jours,

5. Ajoutez des touches de couleur, de feuille de métal, … selon votre envie,

6. Percez des petits trous à chaque extrémité des perles – si vous avez des difficultés pour placer tous les trous à la même hauteur sur les perles, envoyez moi un message, je vous donnerai un truc,

7. Appliquez 2 à 3 couches de vernis ; laissez bien sécher entre chaque couche,

8. Montez sur un fil élastique de bijouterie en ajoutant des intercalaires entre les perles de papier,

B for Birthday … B for Beads … B for Bracelet

 

 

Today my daughter is invited to a friend who just turn 11. So my daughter thought that is would be lovely to offer one of my crafts, especially because this was giving her more time to play at home instead of going shopping for a present -’).

- So Mum you could make her a necklace, white & purple will be lovely.

That’s how I ended up diging into some of my ‘treasure boxes’ – you know all those many things we keep in case we may need them some day! – looking for white and purple. I found also some lilac, added a touch of gold and … tadam

And .. to make her life easy, I mounted the necklace on an elastic cord … and that’s how the necklace became ALSO a bracelet.
